Brief Bio
Sabine Coquillart is Research Director at INRIA where she is conducting researches in Virtual Reality and 3D user Interfaces. She received a doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Grenoble and an "Habilitation" degree from the University of Orsay, Paris. Before joining INRIA, she was a researcher at l'Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne (National Engineering School of Saint-Etienne) and worked for one year as a visiting scientist at the University of Utah, USA. She also spent one year at Thomson, and 6 months in the VMSD group of GMD (now Fraunhofer). She has research interest and publications in the a reas of rendering, 3D modelling, animation, 3D user interfaces and virtual reality. She has served on several program committees and recently co-chaired the IEEE 3DUI 07-09, JVRC 2010-2011 and IEEE VR 2012 program committees. She has been, or is, on the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, of Computer Graphics Forum and of the Journal of Virtual Reality and Broadcasting. She is a member of the EUROGRAPHICS Executive Committee. She was co-chair for EUROGRAPHICS'96, for the 2004 EUROGRAPHICS Symposium on Virtual Environments, for EUROGRAPHICS'06, for IEEE 3DUI'07-08-09, and for the 2009 Joint Virtual Reality Conference of EGVE - ICAT - EuroVR. She is a member of ACM Siggraph and IEEE and one of the Founding Members of the French Conputer Graphics Association, of the French Virtual Reality Association (first chair), and of EuroVR (European Association for Virtual Reality). ... Julien Pettré is research scientist at INRIA, the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control (www.inria.fr) since 2006. He received M.S. degree in 2000. He prepared his thesis under the supervision of Jean-Paul Laumond and obtained his Ph.D. in 2003 from the University of Toulouse III in France. He then spent one 18 months post doc at VRlab, EPFL, Switzerland, headed by Daniel Thalmann. At INRIA in Rennes, he joined the Bunraku team headed by G. Dumont. His research interests are : crowd simulation, motion planning, autonomous virtual humans, computer animation and virtual reality.

Professor Kadi Bouatouch is an electronics and automatic systems engineer (ENSEM 1974). He was awarded a PhD in 1977 (University of Nancy 1, France) and a higher doctorate on computer science in the field of computer graphics in 1989 (University of Rennes 1, France). He is/was working on global illumination, lighting simulation for complex environments, GPU based rendering, HDR imaging and computer vision. He is currently Emeritus Professor at the university of Rennes 1 (France) and researcher at IRISA Rennes (Institut de Recherche en Informatique et Systèmes Aléatoires). He was the head of the FRVSense team with in IRISA. He was/is member of the program committee of several conferences and workshops and reviewer for several Computer Graphics journals such as: The Visual Computer, ACM Trans. On Graphics, IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, IEEE Trans. On Visualization and Computer Graphics, IEEE Trans. On image processing, etc. He also acted as a reviewer for many conferences and workshops. He has reported for several PhD theses or higher doctorates in France and abroad (USA, UK, Belgium, Cyprus, The Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Algeria, etc.).
