2nd International Conference on Computer Graphics Theory
and Applications
8 - 11 March, 2007       Barcelona, Spain

Call for Papers

GRAPP is organized by INSTICC - Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication

SCOPE

The International Conference on Computer Graphics Theory and Applications (GRAPP) aims at becoming a major point of contact between researchers, engineers and practitioners in Computer Graphics. We have chosen Interactive Environments for Computer Graphics as the main topic. Indeed, games and virtual environments currently dominate both research and practice in our field. The conference will be structured along four main tracks, covering different aspects related to Computer Graphics, from Modeling to Rendering, including Animation and Interactive Environments.
We welcome papers describing original work in any of the areas listed below. Accepted papers, presented at the conference by one of the authors, will be published in the Conference Proceedings. Papers describing advanced prototypes, systems, tools and techniques as well as general survey papers indicating future directions are also encouraged. Paper acceptance will be based on quality, relevance to the conference themes and originality.
The conference program will include both oral and poster presentations. Special sessions, dedicated to case-studies and commercial presentations, as well as technical tutorials, dedicated to technical/scientific topics, are also envisaged. Companies interested in presenting their products/methodologies or researchers interested in lecturing a tutorial are invited to contact the conference secretariat.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Prof. André Gagalowicz, INRIA Rocquencourt, France
Prof. Mel Slater, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain
Prof. Jake K. Aggarwal, The University of Texas at Austin, U.S.A.
Prof. Wolfgang Heidrich, University of British Columbia, Canada

VENUE

The conference will be held in Barceló Hotel Sants. The Barceló Hotel Sants is a deluxe hotel located in the heart of Barcelona. It stays about 15 minutes from the airport, 4 minutes to Plaza de Catalunya and 500 meters to the Fira de Barcelona. Considering the hotel is exactly above the train station, it allows traveling to anyplace. Most important is the fact that all the noise from the train station is undetected because the hotel is soundproofed. The Barcelo Hotel Sants also offers on site dining and is convenient to many shopping and entertainment venues.

PROCEEDINGS AND BOOK PUBLICATION

All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, in paper and in CD-ROM support. A book including a selection of the best conference papers will be edited and published by Springer.
